Malaysia detains Filipino children

ZAMBOANGA CITY: Malaysian authorities are holding a still undetermined number of Filipino children, including infants, who were reportedly taken away from their mothers following a series of raids by immigration agents at an apartment complex, according to Migrante International.

The group said it received the reports from Tenaganita, a migrant center in Malaysia, but the exact number of the children was not immediately available.

Migrante International said the children were being held at the Bukit Jalil Immigration Detention Center in Kuala Lumpur.
