PNP urged to delay resettlement project

The Quezon City Council has urged the Philippine National Police (PNP) to postpone the relocation of over 200 enlisted personnel and their families from Camp Panopio in Barangay Kaunlaran to a National Housing Authority (NHA) resettlement site in Antipolo City. A city resolution, introduced by Councilors Ivy Xenia Lagman and Raquel Malañgen, was approved after consultation with residents and families who appealed for the postponement of their resettlement so that their children would be able to finish the school year. The relocation will give way to the construction of the PNP Medical Plaza and other facilities inside Camp Panopio.
