Military nabs 13 armed men in Sibugay clash


IPIL, Zamboanga Sibugay: Military troops captured 13 members of a lawless armed group during a 30-minute firefight on Saturday at Barangay Sisay, Tungawan town, this province, a Philippine Army belated report received here said on Tuesday.

The report received by Provincial Police Director Nestor Tiempo said soldiers of the Philippine Army’s 42nd Infantry Battalion, accompanied by Sisay Village Chairman Amado Daarol, apprehended the “rogue persons” during the military operation in a forested area of the barangay (village).

The military identified the arrested men, most of them clad in long-sleeved fatigue uniforms, as Wahid Hadja, Basir Pulalon, Jonathan Pamarin, Joel Jumalon, Ernesto Cumawas, Ronel Nao-Nao, Junaidi Igno, Mocsin Agibol, Jun-Jun Omay, Aries Doyugan, Christopher Jmawas, Cesar Cumawas and Joven…
