THE chief of police and 21 police personnel in Mayor Vicente Loot’s town of Daanbantayan, north Cebu were relieved for “non-performance” on Saturday.
Chief Supt. Debold Sinas, regional director of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7) ordered all Daanbantayan Police Station police officers, including its chief, Senior Insp. Adrian Nalua, replaced and undergo re-training.
Supt. Janette Rafter, spokesman for the Cebu Provincial Police Office, said 28 police personnel from the Regional Mobile Force Battalion in Central Visayas (RMFB-7) with the rank of Police Officer 1 were deployed to the town effective January 12.
The relieved police officers were subjected to a drug test on Saturday and would be re-assigned to RMFB-7. They will also undergo training under the Moral Recovery Program for one…
