Now that the Manny Villar ethics case has been put to a vote in the Senate, fellow senators are looking for Senator Ping
Lacson as he is one of the instigators of the ethics case against Senator Manny Villar. Lacson has been missing from the Senate for about 2 weeks now.
A few sources from the Bureau of Immigration has confided in ABS-CBN News that Sen. Lacson departed last December to go to Hong Kong some days before official charges were brought against him with the Dacer-Corbito case in which he is named as one of the masterminds in the alleged killings. Whether his leaving had something to do with the charge filed against him is something that we cannot confirm. Sen. Lacson took his leave from Senate President Enrile but right now, Enrile has already declared him to be about 2 weeks absent from senate sessions.
The Bureau Of Immigration source also said that there is no record whatsoever that Sen. Lacson has returned from abroad and also some reports say that he is still in Australia but there have been no confirmations or statements from Senator Lacson’s office as of this writing.
