The legal research, published in India, has already established that apart from hacking issues, the paperless or without paper receipt the EVM (electronic voting machine) is illegal. As per the law of Information and Technology the electronic transactions are suppose to generate a paper receipt otherwise they are illegal. Hence it is in the interest of nation, using EVMs, to shun these electronic voting machines, in the interest of democracy and the country. – AJAY JAGGA, Advocate, INDIA
