Palace won’t prevent Pinoys abroad from rallying vs China

MANILA — Malacañang said Friday that the government could not stop Filipinos abroad from holding protest actions against the Chinese embassies and consulates for China’s intrusion on the Panatag (Scarborough) Shoal.

Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte reminded, however, the overseas Filipinos to hold the demonstrations peacefully.

“We cannot stop our fellowmen to express their feelings. Our only appeal to them is to hold their protest actions orderly and peacefully, especially they are in other countries,” she said in a news briefing Friday.
