Court defers arraignment of Abalos for poll sabotage charges

FORMER Commission on Elections (Comelec) chairman Benjamin Abalos Sr. was not arraigned for electoral sabotages on Monday as the court hearing the case has yet to resolve the motion to quash filed by his camp.

Instead, Pasay City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 117 Eugenio dela Cruz ordered the prosecution to file its comments on the motion within 10 days and the defense to answer in five days.
