DOJ: No case yet against Gatdula

STATE prosecutors are not authorized to initiate a criminal complaint against former National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) director Magtanggol Gatdula for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping of an undocumented Japanese woman.

The complaint should come from Noriyo Ohara, the suspected kidnap and extortion victim, or from her foster family in Pangasinan, Justice Undersecretary Francisco Baraan III said on Thursday.
