EU blocks Deutsche Boerse, NYSE tie-up

FRANKFURT  - The EU Commission vetoed Wednesday a transatlantic tie-up of the Frankfurt and New York stock exchanges, a decision slammed here as ‘out of touch with reality’ and marking a ‘dark day’ for Europe.
