Court of Appeals orders Bangko Sentral to reopen Banco Filipino

(Updated 6:36 p.m.) There is no proof that Banco Filipino practiced unsafe banking transactions, as claimed by the Bangko Sentral Monetary Board in closing Aguirre-controlled bank. As such, Bangko Sentral should reopen the bank, the Court of Appealls said in a Jan. 27 decision released Wednesday.
