Mamarazzi: A Brand New Funny

As a follow-up to the success of blockbusters like Kimmy Dora and Here Comes The Bride, Eugene Domingo stars in Mamarazzi, a dramedy released under Regal Films. Eugene plays the role of Violy, a single mother who tries to conquer the challenges of motherhood while balancing her career as a funeral parlor operator with the demands of her personal life. It shows the complexities and the drama of raising children – an incorrigible teenage boy looking for a father figure, and twins who are exact opposites of each other. It tackles the most common of teen issues – love, acceptance, and finding ones dream. It focuses on the value of family, of friendships, and of the tests that make every relationship stronger.

In the movie, Eugene is convinced by best friend John Lapus to seek a suitable candidate to be the father of her child before she undergoes a procedure which will render her unable to bear children. It gets complicated when Diether, John’s boy friend enters the picture and decides to offer his services, and goes missing. Eugene struggles at motherhood which brings her closer to more challenges, and usually, her efforts position her into the most absurd situations. Yet, she manages to bounce back and be a great mother to her kids.

The film showcases Eugene’s comedic genius, the same brand of laughter that Filipinos love about her – sensible yet hilarious, with no dull moment from intro to credits. It so dynamic that it also keeps moviegoers on their toes while having a good laugh about the same problems one may encounter in real life.

Mamarazzi’s star studded cast include Diether Ocampo, John Lapus, Andi Eigenmann, Carla Abellana, JC Tiuseco, Arron Villaflor, Xiam Lim, Carlo Guevarra, among others, who provide that perfect blend of drama and comedy that is a hit among moviegoers. The film is written by Ricky Lee and Directed by Joel Lamangan.
