Tacloban, Number One in Dengue Cases

TACLOBAN CITY – As reported by the Department of Health (DOH) Tacloban the number of dengue in the city soars up high based on the new information and data they gathered all over the city public and private hospitals. According to the City Health Officer Doctor Jaime Opinion the cases all over the the Region is more or less 5,000 casualties that were confirmed with dengue, from 0-65 years old and more than 70 people already died.

Private and public hospitals are now crowded with patients. The patient bed is only good for one person but because of many casualties they are now sharing.

Honorable Alfred Romualdez, the city mayor  is not yet declaring state of calamity because according to him it is just a matter of time.

The health of the Taclobanons’ are now compromised. They don’t know what to do already. Most of them are afraid that any of these days soon they will be also affected or bitten by the mosquito dengue carrier.

Amidst of all these worries, the Tacloban City health office assured everyone that they will be supporting the casualties and they will do their best to prevent in any means the spread of the “epidemic”.

Doctor Jaime Opinion added that everyone’s’ safety is their primary concern but the Taclobanons’ must also help the by keeping their sorroundings clean and mosquito free. He also added that everyone should check water containers and other possible places wherein the mosquito could lay their eggs.

“Cleanliness is the best way to fight dengue”.
