Noynoy starts with extra holiday on June 30
Malacanang has declared June 30, Wednesday, as a special non-working holiday, a radio report said today.
The day will be the inauguration of Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III as the new President of the Republic of the Philippines.
Under the Constitution, outgoing President Arroyo and other elected officials in government will relinquish their respective offices on the noon of June 30.
Palace officials will make the formal announcement today regarding the details of the declaration, the report added.
