First Rainfall in Manila in Months
“I can’t take the heat of the sun. It burns my skin!”
This was my statement perhaps a week ago…
After months of extreme and exaggerated hot weather, it finally rained! I was on my way out of the University of Santo Tomas, and the skies were about pour. Just as I stepped out of the gates of our building, the rain fell down. The heat from the ground escaped, and I was able to smell and feel it. Everyone was already running to take cover. I’m thankful for the rain. I think we all are. I just hope this doesn’t cause earthquakes because that’s what usually happens. Extremely hot weather+sudden rain=an earthquake. Remember to bring your umbrellas when you head out, fellow Manileños!
