HIV story from call center agent

Condoms would have helped him. A 20 years old call center agent shares his story how he became HIV positive. The issue has been discussed many times from all different angles now. But it always seems to end up with someone saying it is call center related? WTF? How do people in call centers behave differently from other young people in the same city or region?

It might just be related to the fact that a relatively high percentage of young people ends up working in call centers in the Philippines? More normal jobs with the same salary levels and similar benefits would change the ratio I believe. And recently I even heard some official saying that condoms should be banned? What??? It’s because of condoms being readily available that these young people have so much sex he said. Maybe this guy missed class when sexual education was the topic?

More sexual education and information for ALL young people in the Philippines could reduce the risk. If you know what you are getting yourself into you might think twice before having unprotected sex. Maybe that would be something for the election period? Hand out condoms instead of cash to potential voters? What do you think? Are you not just signing a call center contract but also getting yourself automatically in a higher HIV risk group?
