You still want to get arrested in 2009 in Manila?

The Police-forces in Manila have been told to arrest all those who fire guns or burn tires during the New Year celebrations tonight. The Manila Police District Director, Chief Supt. Rodolfo Magtibay, gave this order out while talking about public safety on New Years night.  He said the Manila Police District also started an information drive to ensure public safety during the celebrations for New Year.

The guns of policemen have been sealed to avoid them using their own guns to fire shots during the celebrations. The police will patrol Manila during the last day of 2009 and in the morning hours of tomorrow, the first day of 2010. So you better be careful and only use licensed firecrackers, don’t fire guns and do also not burn tires this year. Otherwise you might find yourself celebrating New Years night inside a jail-cell in Manila. Happy New Year…
