Chiz Bows Out Of The Presidential Race for 2010

Just this morning, Presidential hopeful Senator Chiz Escudero has finally announced his intention in the coming 2010 elections. He held a press conference at Club Filipino in Greenhills, San Juan City where he gathered together supporters, media and family to formally announce his decision to bow out of the race.

He cites several reasons why he is bowing out of the race amidst talks that he made the decision following the withdrawal of Danding Conjuangco’s financial support to the NPC party after NoyNoy Aquino’s decision to run for President alongside that of Gibo Teodoro. These 2 aspiring Presidential candidates are Danding’s nephews.

Chiz resigned from his party, NPC, after Danding bowed out of the scene. Even party running mate of Chiz, Sen. Loren Legarda was shocked because Chiz did not inform her of his decision to quit the party. Unlike Loren, who sought another political ally because of what happened with their party, NPC, Chiz took the time to announce if he was going to be running or not in the 2010 Presidential bid. There were rumors that he was going to be running as an independent candidate but this is not the case as officially he just announced that he will not be seeking the Presidential post in the 2010 elections. If asked who he will support for the 2010 elections, the senator remains mum about who he will support.
