Ruling Lakas-Kampi Has Announced Gibo’s VP and Running Mate for the 2010 Elections – EDU MANZANO

The 2010 elections having been stirred up with the controversial bid for theedu presidency of Ninoy and Cory Aquino’s son, NoyNoy Aquino is seeing more upheaval where candidates and presidentiables in particular are concerned. With the newest developments, a lot has happened. Senator Chiz Escudero a presidential hopeful unexpectedly quit his party, NPC, just recently due to some circumstances he says. Even his NPC comrade, Sen. Loren Legarda was surprised as she was not informed of the senator’s decision ahead before he publicly announced his resignation from his party. He has not made any announcements so far that he will be running for a higher public office come 2010 elections.

In today’s press conference given by the ruling party Lakas-Kampi, Interior Secretary Ronaldo Puno just announced that the party is endorsing and declaring a TEODORO-MANZANO tandem for the 2010 elections. It seems that former OMB Chairman Edu Manzano, a showbiz personality, is going to be alongside Presidential hopeful Gibo Teodoro come 2010. This is indeed an interesting twist on things because it was rumored that Manzano was going to be taking oath to join the LP party last Thursday for a senatorial post but he failed to make an appearance. LP is the party endorsing the AQUINO-ROXAS tandem.

Both GIBO and EDU are newcomers to national politics.  Gibo says that both he and Manzano share the same platforms so it should be a nice partnership of sorts. This announcement has come after so much waiting time and speculation on who would be GIBO’s running mate in the 2010 elections. It was even rumored that they were trying to get Sen. Loren Legarda for the post but there are also talks that Sen. Legarda is being considered by the Villar faction. It is indeed a surprise outcome and for sure the coming 2010 elections next year will be full of interesting things to come if right now is a prelude to it.

I think people were intelligent enough to know they shouldn’t vote this guy as VP. He has yet to prove something. I respect Theodoro. But I am afraid that as a person grew intelligent –he tends to be more corrupt.
