Dr. Belo and The Belo Medical Group Slapped With Lawsuits

Not so long after Dr. Belo was involved in that sex scandal with Katrina Halili and Hayden Kho, her name is again dragged and that of her company as well into lawsuits here and there for allegedly botching up a butt augmentation procedure. The NBI has already filed complaints against Dr. Belo and 2 other doctors of her clinic last Thursday.  The complainant is a certain Josefina Norcio who is suing Dr. Belo and 2 others with estafa and reckless impudence resulting to serious physical injuries. The complainant suffered lots of complications from 2 butt augmentation operations that she had with the Belo Group in 2003 and 2005.

The NBI further said that the estafa case was because Ms. Norcio allegedly was deceived into paying the Belo Medical Group around PHP 250,000 for the butt augmentation procedure  that supposedly went wrong.  The  other complaints filed were because of the group’s failure to issue an office receipt to Ms. Norcio and also because of the allegedly deceptive website ad regarding the butt procedure as well as of the use of hydrogel too. The 2 other doctors named in the lawsuit are doctors Cayetano and Decangchon, both of whom are no longer connected with the Belo Medical Group now.

Norcio has also petitioned the PRC to revoke Dr. Belo’s license and that of the 2 other doctors who were directly involved in her case. Josefina Norcio has also appeared in several TV shows in the country saying that she wants to raise awareness as well as get justice for what was done to her. But Belo’s side insists that they were doing everything in order and no medical malpractice was committed resulting to Ms. Norcio’s butt augmentation complications.
